Custom Submission Number or Submited Form Name

Updated 2 weeks ago

Hi There !

Is it possible to custom the submission Number ?

Here my need :

I would like to customize the submission number with elements that make it easier to find a form in SharePoint.

For example, in the form, I generate a reference; can I use it as the submission number?

Hi Hugues,

It sounds like finding your response in SharePoint is the underlying issue that you are trying to solve. Rather than trying to customize the submission number you can use the submission screen to locate your response based on any field within your form (including some kind of custom submission id). You can do this using the steps below:

  1. Hover over the form and click the "..." icon that appears

  2. Click "Submissions" in the menu that appears to open the submissions screen

  3. Within the submission screen use the column filters to find the response(s) you're looking for. This could be a column with a custom submission number if you want.

  4. Select the row, then click the "Open in SharePoint" button. This is open the submission directly in SharePoint for you.

I highly recommend using the submission screen over the SharePoint view as it makes a lot of things (like above) a lot easier.
