Photo quality

At a glance

The community member is experiencing a decrease in photo quality when uploading images from their phone to a form. A community member responds with a solution, explaining that the original high-quality images are uploaded to SharePoint. To access these, the community member can either open the submission screen and click the hyperlink to the uploaded files, or open a submission and click the "..." icon to view the files in SharePoint. The community member also notes that the "display as image(s)" feature in the form can be used to increase the size of the thumbnail displayed within the form.

The quality of the photos i take with my phone are good when i take them and if i edit them. Once i confirm and upload on a form they decreases in quality quite dramatically. How can i keep original quality or at least better than i am currently getting?

Hi Nicolas,

Team Forms will upload the original high quality image to SharePoint. To access this image you can use one of the methods below:

  1. Open the submission screen and navigate to the column showing the uploaded files. From here you can click the hyperlink to open the high quality photos directly.

  2. Open a submission and click the "..." icon in the top right hand corner. Within the menu click "View in SharePoint". This will open a folder containing all the files related to the submission including the uploaded images.

It's also worth noting that when you enable the "display as image(s)" feature a thumbnail of the captured/uploaded image is displayed within the form. You can increase the size of this thumbnail using the "image size" property as show below.
