See assigned users to a form in Team Forms tab

At a glance
The community member wants to assign forms within the Team Forms to different sub-groups, but they are unable to see where to check the changes in the Team Forms app in Microsoft Teams. The answer provided by another community member is that there is no feature within Team Forms to check a user's permission to view a specific form within a team. Instead, the community member should use SharePoint's permissions tools to check if a user has access to the form. The steps provided include locating the folder storing the form templates source code, right-clicking the folder and selecting "Manage Access", then using the "Check Permissions" tool in the advanced permissions screen to check if a user has access to the form.

I want to assign forms within the Team Forms to different sub-groups. I have restricted access to the forms via the config folder by assigning different SharePoint groups for each form. However, i am unable to see where to check the changes in the Team Forms app in Microsoft Teams.

Is there a way to see the users that have access to the different forms in the Team Forms app in Microsoft Teams?

Unfortunately, there is no feature within Team Forms to check a user's permission to view a specific form within a team. You should instead use SharePoints permissions tools to check if a user has access to the form. You can do this by following the steps below:

  1. Locate the folder storing the form templates source code. This is located in Team Forms > Form Config > Form Name

  2. Right click the folder and click "Manage Access"

  3. In the top right of the dialogue click "..." followed by "Advanced Permisison"

  4. In the advanced permissions screen you can use the "Check Permissions" tool to check if a user has access to the form, by checking if they have access to the corresponding SharePoint folder.
